Mexico is definitely my favorite! I like the culture and especially the people. When I go there, I always feel connected with the people and their lives. There are also many beautiful beaches, delicious food and interesting history. It’s also very affordable so if you like drinking beer you must visit Mexico!

I was born in March 1992 

I studied English in Australia, however before going to Australia, I couldn’t speak a word of English. During my time in Australia I always attended many parties because it was a good opportunity to practice speaking English.

I also tried to use English in my daily life as much as possible. I think the most important thing when learning a language is to continue practicing through conversation without worrying about making mistakes.

English and Spanish. I studied English in Australia and I studied Spanish in Mexico. 

Bappa is a slang word for backpacker in Japanese and Shota is my first name.

Since 2017, Ruth and I have been full-time digital nomads. We both wanted to work online so we could travel the world and be location independent.

I started earning money online by teaching Japanese over skype and then at the end of 2018 I started the YouTube channel Bappa Shota.

Ruth taught English online and also started an ecommerce business. Now our main focus is the YouTube channel Bappa Shota.
